Profile
Caprock opened its first location at 34th & Indiana in September 1997. It’s in the heart of Lubbock, just a short drive from Texas Tech University and the United Supermarkets Arena. The six proprietors of Caprock Cafe, which debuted in 1997, are Loyd and Karen Turner, David and Cheryl Cea, and Jerol and Heather Fanta. The restaurants are committed to superb food, quality service, and the local tradition of musical talent. Following the success of Orlando’s Italian Restaurant, they have turned Caprock Cafe into one of Lubbock’s must-eat establishments. Caprock Cafe is continuing its own tradition of cold beer, large burgers, and hot music by establishing a second location in 2008 in Lubbock, TX.
Caprock Cafe offers a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In addition to non-alcoholic beer, Caprock Cafe serves coffee, root beer, and strawberry smoothie. You can pair these refreshments with a wide variety of Tex-Mex dishes to choose from, chargrilled burgers, and tortilla wraps. Pull over to Caprock Cafe for delicious double-stacked burgers topped with cheese and grilled jalapenos, and don’t miss the mountain of crispy fries! It’s all about fun at this country music-loving cafe where you might see honky-tonk singer Joe Ely having a beer himself! This rockin’ Hub City favorite advertises the “Coldest Beer in West Texas.”
