Profile
The name Somerset, which refers to a county in rural England, effectively means “Home to the people of Summer.” Somerset is a unique and enchanted region that hosts Arthurian stories, the Glastonbury Festival, druid rituals, solstice celebrations, and numerous mushroom excursions. It was the place to experience a sense of wonder and be “elsewhere.” That is what Somerset hopes they will be for the local community.
The furniture and fittings in a bar or restaurant typically originate from different suppliers, perhaps Amazon, Restoration Hardware, or Webstaurant. Although a linked world is beneficial, it doesn’t have to be so standardized and industrialized. That’s why Somerset looks for goods made by artists and traders abroad that reflect their cultures. The staff visits different nations personally to learn about them, meet people, form friendships, and conduct direct business at reasonable prices with small enterprises.
In terms of the drinks selection, Somerset serves a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments. They have Lietz N/A Sparkling Riesling, Untitled Art Juicy IPA, and the Ziggy Stardust mocktail, which is made with pineapple, lime, hibiscus, and coconut milk.
Somerset is dedicated to using recyclable or biodegradable consumables and ecologically friendly materials. They make an effort to use zero disposable plastic. In 2020, they placed a sizable chunk of their startup funding to Eden Projects, which planted 10,000 mangrove trees in Indonesia and Madagascar on their behalf.
