Profile
Cure is a product of the renowned and distinguished CureCo. set of bars and restaurants. The 2009 opening of Cure on Freret St. is primarily regarded with launching the artisan cocktail trend in New Orleans and reviving the area, which is presently thriving. Esquire called Cure one of “America’s Best Bars,” Food & Wine included it among “Best Cocktail Bars in the U.S.,” and it has been praised as one of New Orleans’ top cocktail establishments. The James Beard Foundation bestowed its prestigious “Outstanding Bar Program” award on Cure in 2018.
After ten years, Cure is still an institution in New Orleans, championing traditional cocktails and thoughtful, inventive takes on time-tested favorites. The menu features a wide range of delectable food and refreshing drinks. Aside from reserve cocktails and wines by the glass, the non-alcoholic options include the Einbecker N/A from Germany.
Cure’s founder, Neal Bodenheimer, released a book called “Cure: New Orleans Drinks and How To Mix ‘Em.” The book is a love letter to New Orleans and the cast of personalities that have helped to make the city so unique. It includes interviews with locals, including singer and New Orleans funk royalty Ian Neville, and advice on how to get through your first Mardi Gras.
