Profile
O-Ku Atlanta offers traditional Japanese sushi and food in a new and creative way. The cuisine that executive chef Masatomo Hamaya oversees features iconic appetizers, modern Japanese entrees, and seasonal traditional sushi that are all inspired by the restaurant’s distinctive interior design. The West Midtown restaurant sources its seafood from the best fish markets in Tokyo and Hawaii, as well as local and seasonal ingredients, and offers uncommon and distinctive dining alternatives in addition to standard sashimi and specialty rolls. The lively restaurant is situated on the east side of the main building and is part of the Westside Ironworks development in West Midtown. It has a large rooftop and bar that look out over the Midtown skyline.
O-Ku’s beverage menu features a sophisticated blend of specialty cocktails, fine sake, wine, and local beer selections, all made with high-quality ingredients that honor Japanese culture and Atlanta’s best purveyors. There are also zero-proof drink options like the Don’t Chai Me blend of chai (tea), blueberry, and lemon, included in O-Ku’s rooftop menu. The rooftop menu is just similar to the dining room beverage menu. Meanwhile, the dinner menu consists of small plates, hot dishes, and omakase, which is the chef’s creative multi-course tasting menu.
