Profile
Oxford Exchange set out to build something that would foster community and discourse. It is essentially a gathering space that houses a variety of thoughts and experiences under one roof and is created in the spirit of human involvement. As the name implies, Oxford Exchange was inspired by London’s old clubs, libraries, and businesses, whose allure and past encourage impromptu social interaction. The building, which was built in 1891 and is located across the street from Henry B. Plant’s fabled Tampa Bay Hotel, has experienced several changes. After a meticulous restoration, particularly of the century-old brickwork, a design that combines the old and contemporary gave the area new vitality.
The daytime establishment serves brunch on the weekends, brunch during the week, and afternoon tea. Guests may choose to be seated in either the conservatory, a sunlit space with creeping vines and a retractable glass roof, or the art-filled dining room with an open kitchen. A modern interpretation of the traditional bistro is presented on the menu, which features fresh, seasonally appropriate signature meals and a selection of high-quality coffees, teas, and drinks.
Aside from the fact that Oxford Exchange operates a champagne bar, it also serves non-alcoholic options like teas and coffees. A wide range of tea flavors is available from the TeBella Tea Company. Customers can choose to try white, green, oolong, or black teas.
