Profile
The Principal’s Office is an artisan cocktail and coffee bar where the best beverages are crafted from first thing in the morning until the last call. They are located at the Ivywild School, a former elementary school constructed in 1916. They have been known as a retro bar with a Prohibition-era background and a lengthy history of creative flask-fillers that have made customers happy for decades. Where else except a real principal’s office would you find an eclectic group huddled up and clinking glasses—misfits and mums, outcasts and overachievers, former captains of the chess team, and present captains of industries.
Ivywild School is a gathering spot for locals, acquaintances, coworkers, and guests. Formerly an elementary school, it reopened in 2012 as a center for the best in the neighborhood. The Ivywild School remains a hub of activity throughout the day thanks to the rebuilt classrooms, which feature local cuisine and craft beverages, meeting spaces, education, events, music, art, and gardens. The Principal’s Office serves a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. N/A options include the Hubba Hubba, made with pineapple, orange, cranberry, soda water, and bitters. You can also try the Great White Buffalo, which was crafted using pineapple, lemon, lavender syrup, rose water, and tonic.
