Profile
The Salted Pig is a gastropub launched on Valentine’s Day 2011 and is situated in Downtown Riverside. Since then, it has been a city favorite, bringing locals and visitors to the Inland Empire’s first gastropub. This relaxed gastropub in the heart of Riverside has one objective: to deliver what, in their opinion, are the finest local and sustainable foods, distinctive craft beers, boutique wines, and premium spirits. Every food served there is made in-house.
The Salted Pig always updates its menu to provide customers with foods that are at their absolute best since they think that cooking should be seasonal. Additionally, they only provide craft beer from the top regional and international breweries. Non-alcoholic options are also available, like the Brooklyn Special Effects.
Everybody can hang out at The Salted Pig, and it is open late and does not require reservations a month in advance. Check out their oak-grilled burgers, daily specials, and 12 revolving craft beer taps. The gastropub collaborated with Project M Plus to revamp the place for Imperial Hardware Lofts, Riverside’s first mixed-use building. The results were a warm color scheme to influence the interiors, drawing inspiration from the building’s Art Deco geometric front and the subdued desert environment. The end goal was to bring the surrounding area’s natural beauty inside, where the warm colors may foster a sense of place and coziness.
