Novo has expanded beyond its initial Chula Vista location by opening a brewpub in Otay Ranch. This 12,000-square-foot establishment includes a bar, restaurant, and brewery.

In the 2016 World Beer Cup, Novo Brazil Brewing won a US bronze medal for their Corvo Negro Russian Imperial Stout, placing them third out of 53 breweries. They also received US honors recognition for Best IPA and Best Lager in the 2016 World Beer Awards for their Otay IPA and Chula Pils Pilsner.
