Profile
Orso serves dinner in a cozy, welcoming setting, adding a distinctive twist to fresh Alaskan meals. It’s a spot to relax and take in the vibrant activity of downtown Anchorage while enjoying a delicious meal, craft beer, or wine. Orso, just next to the performing arts complex, is a terrific place to go before or after a show and on date evenings. Additionally, if there is a waiting line, there is a local Alaskan art museum and a few cute stores right around the corner.
The crew at Orso takes great satisfaction in providing outstanding customer service and stunning presentation of their fresh seafood dishes obtained from nearby waterways, such as Copper River Seafoods’ Kenai Select sockeye salmon. The kind of processing they employ guarantees excellent Alaskan seafood all year round. These dishes are served with seasonal vegetables from the Matanuska Valley, located about 45 minutes north of Anchorage.
You may sample the Glacier BrewHouse’s distinctive craft beers and a changing selection of seasonal brews because Orso is next door. However, one could argue that the focus is more on wines because Orso has a sizable wine list and frequently has wine-tasting dinners. Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available, such as the Orso Innocent Sangria, made with cranberry, almond syrup, pomegranate and blueberry juices, and fresh fruit.
