Profile
Grey Ghost Detroit, tucked away between the storied Brush Park and Midtown areas, was founded by devoted artisans who were dedicated to the technique of butchery, the finer points of making cocktails, and unmatched hospitality. The name is a play on the nom de plume of the most infamous rum-smuggling pirate on the Detroit River during Prohibition. Even though the Grey Ghost was never located, his tale continues to this day at 47 East Watson. The place is as gorgeous as your imagination goes. It’s like a set during the 1800s with the thoughts of ghosts from the past lurking behind the walls. The perfect ambiance at Grey Ghost is paired with the hospitality and friendliness shown by its staff. They are famous for being a hip and carefree restaurant that patrons often return to.
The menu at Grey Ghost changes regularly, but the tastes of its delectable food and refreshing cocktails remain the same – unique but very delicious! The list of drinks includes mocktails, namely Rule No. 1 (orange, blueberry, Calpico, lime), Cola De Jamaica (orange, coca-cola, hibiscus honey, lime), House Rock & Rye (cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, soda), Spa Water (cucumber, mint, honeydew, lime soda), and Lift Off (orange, cucumber, melon, ginger, cream, lemon). Heineken 0.0 is also available.
