Dave built an outlandish entertainment and gaming spot a few doors away, drawing customers for pleasure in an irresistible way. When the two young business owners saw customers moving between their locations, an idea began to form: why not combine their two businesses under one roof?

They opened the first Dave & Buster’s in December 1982, using Dave’s name first since he won a coin toss. Dave & Buster’s has more than 140 locations today.
